You're gonna have quite the zoo in that household (as if teenage boys didn't make the house into a zoo as i were).

I had a couple Anoles when I was a kid. We called them chameleons, but they weren't. They only cost about $5 though. Their names were Herbert and Jane. I wrote a story of their capture and escape from a department store when I was like 9. Ahh what memories.BurdockBoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01174758566322248274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4095754554312929376.post-54085317769478647492007-03-29T00:59:00.000+00:002007-03-29T00:59:00.000+00:00Yup, I'm familiar with the thawing of frozen roden...Yup, I'm familiar with the thawing of frozen rodents. Weaselboy prefers to get them frozen and then thaw. Snakes won't eat a dead animal (or face) and so we get the "animation device" out, (a hangar,) and try and move the rat around until Monty strikes thus killing it.
I much prefer live rats if for no other reason that it's much easier, no muss, no fuss. So, when I can, I trap the wild little critters in this drafty old farm house and give them to Monty. When Pete catches them, he'll give to Monty too, after he's done playing with them. Silly old cat.
I'm not realy sure that face thing you matie's hubby told you is the truth. I think they only go for appendages, toes and fingers and such. Hmmmm, and such. damn I hope that's not true.
Actually they simply go find someplace warm so when Monty gets out I can find her under the wood stove. Had a friend whose husband's 7 foot python would go to the water bed and curl up there. She woke up one time and had a snake all curled up with here.Still has her face, I believe.OrdinarySharkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09423346168533996854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4095754554312929376.post-50121187812698191542007-03-28T22:31:00.000+00:002007-03-28T22:31:00.000+00:00To wit, and this is a total sidebar...I now have o...To wit, and this is a total sidebar...

I now have over 50 Gumby emails in my mailbox.
I now have over 50 Gumby emails in my mailbox.
I now have over 50 Gumby emails in my mailbox.

Where is Susan Powder when you need her?

Oh, Hey Marm! Who but you to name a karma Brenda?! That's a funny one. My husband and I feed two stray cats that come up to our garage. The kids named the first one Jessie. She's the wild cat I used to blog about. If you were reading back then, there was another cat with her sometimes and my husband took to calling the poor thing 'ugly cat'. I have renamed him. His name is Bruce.Spilling Inkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13970126156464922867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4095754554312929376.post-67167648638618091232007-03-28T02:31:00.000+00:002007-03-28T02:31:00.000+00:00Oh any BTW Marmy, they don't consult you on becomi...Oh any BTW Marmy, they don't consult you on becoming a grandparent. I was assuming they were for a snake but then you go and get all stuffy about those fine creatures. Why no snakes? I have Weaselboy's snake here, a ball python named Monty, of course. (And may I digress for a second and say That Baby Amina brought her parents over for dinner tonight and for the first time in years I had a little tosser sucking my pinky finger until she fell asleep - we were waiting for Mom to show- being a grandpa is fabulous!)
So Eric and the Karmas are grand but why the ban on our fine footless friends?OrdinarySharkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09423346168533996854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4095754554312929376.post-41399403798362115052007-03-27T23:48:00.000+00:002007-03-27T23:48:00.000+00:00They look like good bass bait! They look like good bass bait!Go Figurehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07908840010777729109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4095754554312929376.post-56326936589526490032007-03-27T23:19:00.000+00:002007-03-27T23:19:00.000+00:00Wait a second, you all those bunnies and kittens b...Wait a second, you all those bunnies and kittens born ON THE SAME DAY!
